With such power, I think every aquarist is tempted to make waves with their Vortech using the flashing blue ’short pulse’ mode. We slapped the MP10 on a standard 10g AGA aquarium and took this video to show the power and control of this impressive pump.
Thankfully, the DC motor and Wave Driver allow ample control over the power. We had no problem placing the MP10 on a 7g Nano Reef among soft corals and small gobies. It performed equally well providing supplemental flow on our 90g aquarium. Point being, despite the small size this pump is applicable to a large range of aquarium sizes and in my opinion, only limited by the thickness of the aquarium glass.
A big thanks to EcoTech Marine for sending this pump our way.
