    Sculpted Tube Sponges by Wilhelm Marschall

    These manmade Tube Sponge sculptures by Wilhelm Marschall were eventually used in an advert for Asics shoes. Get it, they’re like sponges. Wilhelm may have a future in synthetic aquarium decor.

    Mercedes-Benz Box Fish Concept

    Mercedes Benz designers looked to nature to find an aerodynamic shape that would allow ample cargo space. The result was the Boxfish. Despite the bold front end, this concept car was exceptionaly streamlined with a 65% lower drag coefficient than it compact car competitors at the time. [via Tree Hugger]

    Marine Fish Fashion by Moie Preisenberger

    Clothes for the ultimate female fish geek? I don’t know, but Moie, who resides in Australia, found a way to blend the shapes and patterns of our marine friends into fashion forward dresses.

      That's all awesome, but I really like that car…almost seems crazy, but it really does sort of look like the boxfish below.

      I dunno about drawing aerodynamics from a boxfish, it's not exactly one of the fastest swimmers out there.
