Vince (SPSholic) recently gave a pictorial update on the aquarium of his fellow Korean reefing friend SoolSool. This aquarium is packed full of vibrant stony corals that are kept in bright pastel color state thanks to ZEOvit and aggressive skiming via ATB. While the corals may be too light in color for my tastes, it is refreshing to see a shallow water reef scene not washed with blue light. The crisp white illumination seen here does a good job of highlighting blues will still providing warmer wavelengths to pull out yellows, pinks and reds. [See: 20K is Not the Only Way to Pop Corals]

Am I understanding correctly that he's using a 250W Radium 20K and supplemental actinics? If so, nothing about that is “not blue.” That's ALL blue.
ed, those stats are from 2009. He has since changed his lighting and added an additional 250w.
I'd also add Radiums on HQIs can look white in comparison to the Royal Blue LEDs and Blue Plus lamps that illuminate many reefs!
On a slighly related note, I'm still in disbelief that some online LFS only photograph their animals under blue lamps.
I am very happy to introduce one of best korean tank in GBD.
If you have any questions about his tank. please let me know in my blog.
I will ask him and answered to your question.
Thanks GBD~!!!
Very goooooooooooood…. Nice Tank~
It appears that a lot of work was put into the aquascaping and coral placement. Very well done. That sump area makes me claustrophobic though!
