    Japan’s LSS NanoScope Sure Looks Like DD’s

    DD The Aquarium Solution recently released their new DD Nanoscope. At practically the same time a seemingly identical product was released by LSS in Japan, aptly named… wait for it, The Nanoscope. We don’t expect DD to be in the optics biz, but we are a bit surprised to see what appears to be a mirror image product being offered in Japan, under a different brand.

    LSS sells various brands, including their own, but it’s interesting that they do not carry any DD / Deltec products or list them as a distributor. Instead they list our Italian friends over at Elos. The real news is that this NanoScope is now available in Japan for 9,800 JPY. This used to be equivalent in price to DD’s, but given the fall in Sterling and the Euro it’s actually cheaper in U.S. dollars to buy the Nanoscope in the UK at £69 (DD = $99 USD, LSS=$108 USD). Go figure.

      Ummm, as far as I'm aware, D&D are the Brittish Distrubtor for all the products you mention above, and more… correct me if I'm wrong.

      H2Ocean does not equal Red Sea salt. Its made in the same facility but the H2Ocean has additional filter processes applied during the dehydration of the sea water.

      As someone said D-D are not an optics manufacturer but we have developed the Nanoscope from a nice item in a simple cardboard box which is the japanese item into something well presented in a hard case with sucker tripod included. We distribute this product globally except for – you guessed it JAPAN.

      What D-D do is to work with manufacturers and develop our ideas into something that works and then market and distribute it in our markets.
