After leaving Chicago and rather successfully picking up on the west coast, IMAC West has shared on its website that it will not be happening in 2010, but is said to be postponed to 2011 “due to unforeseeable circumstances and resulting time constraints.”
When the economy contracts, apparently so does the abundance of reef conferences. We’ve been seeing smaller events getting fewer and fewer, but there is not saying what really is the cause for postponement here.
“IMAC WEST 2010 has been postponed due to unforseeable circumstances and resulting time constraints. We have decided to hold IMACWEST Bi-annually starting in 2011. Dates for IMACWEST 2011 will be May 27~29, 2011 – Location TBD”
What scares me the most is this last part. I hope exhibitors found out about this before the public.
