Despite their compact size, nano aquariums often end up having nearly as many powercords as their larger counterparts. One or two for lights, another for a pump, add in additional flow with a powerhead or stream pump and a mess can be had. This goes against the allure of a desktop nano, that is it should be simple, not interfere with desk workspace and allow easy maintenance.
Being a reef geek, the desk top nano was my first reaction when seeing the PowerBridge concept by Hyuk Jae Chang. Particularly useful is the built in LED power gauge that quickly makes users aware of the approximate electrical draw of each appliance.
Electrical cords and aquariums ironically go hand in hand. If they are going to be visible the PowerBridge is an attractive and creative solution.
