Many waterproof and shock resistant cameras are bulky and rarely used. Now they’re sleek, slim and come in Ferrari red with Casio’s new Exilim EX-G1. At just 0.78 inches thick, this latest release from Casio is said to be the worlds slimmest ruggedized camera–capable of withstanding depths of up to 10ft for an hour duration, and able to withstand drops of 7ft.
The Exilim Ex-G1 contains a 12.1 megapixel sensor and is capable of recodring wide-format video at 848×480 resolution at 30 fps. That makes the Ex-G1 a practical point and shoot that can slip in your pocket or can go into aquarium scuba mode when needed. And if the red scares you off, it’s also available in Black.
This camera has just been released to retailers and fetches a price of $300, although Amazon currently has them for $270 with free shipping.
