Aqua Illumination has released these images of their hanging kit for their latest Cree XP-G based LED aquarium light. The hanging kit plays off their modular leg mounting system, but without the associated clutter. This is a boon for rimless aquarium owners who wish to keep the top of their aquarium open.
This hanging rack is great when using multiple AI LED modules close together. However, if spaced farther apart or used individually the lights can be hung or directly mounted using the threaded holes on top of the light. In the middle of the unit you can see the screw popping out–this placement allows a myriad of clean installation methods.

I agree. That is one of the most inelegant solutions one could have imagined for what is an otherwise subdued and attractive fixture.
I agree. I am pretty underwhelmed, in fact disappointed. Must have blown their design budget on the light because they are gorgeous.

The hanging kit shown in the pictures above is actually something we've had available for the last three years.
The rail and end plate assembly are a standard part of the System that we sell today. The only difference is the inclusion of the hanging system components.
