I always find natural oddities fascinating, including freshwater fish like this specimen. That said, I feel bad for the fish. I hope these truly were a natural occurrence and not bred for this reason.
Perhaps others know how these fish fair into adulthood. They have been sold in the past. Here’s one for sale in the UK for £58,000 or $93,000USD. At that price a Peppermint Angelfish looks affordable.
