is there any benefit to having the pumps air supply come from the collection cup? potential MSX mod in order here???

Looks like the same design (pump under skimmer) as the MRC Ocean Force series. I know Im comparing apples and oranges, but seems rather bizarre if theyve been “working on this design for quite some time”.

This design does put more back pressure on the air intake… but if you have a sump that is deeper and you need to put the skimmer up on a stand anyways… well… this works for that as well.
