The 21st Marine & Aquarium Conference of North America kicks off in just 18 days in Atlantic City, NJ. MACNA, as it is more commonly referred to, is the saltwater aquarium event of the year in the United States, and one of the best in the world. The combination of exhibitor booths and speakers offer such a broad variety of topics that you will certainly learn something new. [FYI, currently the full event passes are $139, however, they will go up to $159 on September 10th.]
A few speakers that piqued our interest include:
- Julian Sprung – Accidental hybridization: Sharing of genes among sea-dwelling creatures, with many evolutionary consequences
- John Coppolino – Angelfish in Reef Aquaria: From QT and Adaptation to Pairing and Spawning
- Charles Delbeek – The Ultimate Living Room Aquarium: Helping to Raise Public Awareness of Coral Reefs in a BIG Way!
- Richard Ross – Keeping Cephalopods; An Alien in your tank
- Matt Wittenrich – New Ideas and Approaches in Reef Fish Propagation
The exhibitor line up this year is equally impressive. Be sure to check out our friends and sponsors: EcoTech Marine and Premium Aquatics.
