Leading Edge Technology Lighting has unveiled a new Modular T5 lighting system for marine and reef aquariums at MACNA XXI. LET states their new modular design offers the highest output of any T5 lighting fixtures currently available.
Taking a different spin on the T5 lighting market, LET has created a two bulb modular system that can be mated to additional units for 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10+ bulb combination in 24″, 36″ and 48″ assemblies. The fixture has been designed by lighting master Chris Clough of Aqua Illumination. Here at MACNA they are being shown together, however the Modular T5 system will be sold under LET Lighting and not AI–prices below.

These lights were doing a great job lighting up an LPS show tank stocked by Todd and Brett of Cherry Corals. Here’s a teaser shot of some florescent Cynaria flesh being illuminated by LET’s modular system via ATI Blue Plus lamps.
Typically modular designs are a good thing when in an an environment filled with customization and bespoke requests. It will be interesting how reefers respond to this design, what are your thoughts?
