This is not the first time zooax has been added to a phyto blend. PhycoPure had been doing this for years now (sold by ORA now pretty sure), and this product is packaged just like Phycopure in fact!

Wow, I didn’t know that about Phytos. I’ve always wanted to start culturing my own phyto for my SPS. Never ever got around to it.

Amazing though that this product contains zooxanthellae. It would be interesting to see the long turn benefits of this food for all the animals in a reef tank.

The standard formula for growiing phytoplankton, called F/2, is largely composed of phosphates and nitrates, and ammonia, with some vitamins and other goodies added for good measure. Phytos, if they are alive, EAT phosphates and nitrates, ammonia, etc, all of the nasty metabolites excreted by animals. It’s a fundamental basis of the cycle of life as we know it.

Hey Eric-given this statement-To our knowledge this is the first commercial product to contain the symbiotic algae that corals utilize to gain energy from sun light.-would there be any benefit at all in feeding this to an SPS/LPS tank other than the traditional idea of fattening up tank zooplankton? Thanks!

Sweet!!!

I love H20 life Foods! This is really exciting. It is hard to get it here on the east coast. The Brine/Mysis and the mini mysis is great stuff. H20 life was my main staple when I had my store open. It is much harder for me to get now because Im not placing orders 5 times a week anymore.

I would love to hear some feedback on those that have access to this!
