GHL/Profilux has released their new Dimmable Powerbar for the Profilux Controller. The $174USD powerbar works with the controller via a 0-10v port to manipulate the electric coming from your outlet for AC devices. The real target will be T5 users looking for dimming capabilities, a rare commodity because North American (120v / 60hz) DALI T5 ballasts are limited in numbers. With the dimmable powerbar 24w, 39w, 54w, and 80w will all be controllable. The recommended ballast is the Phillips/Advance Mark 10 Powerline series that touts dimming abilities from 1%-100% on T5HO. With this ballast the lamps can be ignited (turned on) at any % power setting.

GHL/Profilux has also said this unit can control standard AC pumps. Perhaps in a similar AC>DC>AC fashion as seen on the Seio Wavemaker and AquaBee control system. At this time GHL has only tested the new powerbar on T5s, and while the capability is there for flow manipulation on AC pumps they do not plan on testing these–meaning it’s up to you to test it for yourself.
