Alexander Girz is an extremely talented aquarist. Many have benefited from his knowledge and experience through the hours he spends helping out other ZEO users on ZEOvit.com. I reached out to Alexander for high resolution photographs of his aquarium, for an article Tetsuo Otake is writing for a magazine. I was blown away by what I saw. His photos look great at any size, but seeing them in high resolution allows an optical experience that is unrivaled. There was one photograph that really caught my attention, and with Alexander’s permission we present it here as a reef wallpaper for your computer.
The Aquarium
The wallpaper photo is a coral scene from Alexander’s previous system (shown above) which was shut down due to a move in October of 2008. Besides the beautiful corals, I love the stand. It is made of masonry stones, but done so in a manner that compliments the tank’s clean and modern look. Alexander’s new system is now up and running and has just gotten over a battle with persistent diatoms. We have no doubt it will be just as beautiful. For more information see Alexander’s old photo thread , tank feature on Korallen Zucht, and new system build.
The Wallpaper
The wallpaper comes in two sizes, your standard 1280 x 960 and for those with larger displays a 2000 x 1500. Double click the image to view the full resolution in your browser.
