For $300 in drivers & LED's, plus my liquid cooled mounting plate, I have something that is about the size of a flashlight, and smokes the output of a 250watt halide (looks like the pheonix 14,000K and Ushio 14,000K running side by side). They are mounting up to 7 of these LED's on a single chip that's little more than 1" in diameter, so you only need 4 of them, or a 3"x3" area, to outperform a big honkin halide. With some 40 degree Khatod optics... the spotlight effect is pretty intense. They are HERE!!
