      Some people have GIANT BRASS ONES to put such random items into circulation in their tank. Dude probably rinses off all the fish food to prevent “contamination”. Nothing ever goes into my tank that hasnt been sold as for use in aquariums, and been in mass use for some time.

      @Jeremy, I believe they come in PVC… but I hear you.

      @Christian, I am not sure. Based on the color I would venture a guess that it is a Pentair Quiet One. Often called the “poor man’s Sicce”.

      I was in Lowe’s the other night buying some plumbing supplies, and what did I see at the end of the fittings aisle? A whole stack of these cones for sale… I was tempted! Too coincidental, placed next to the unions and ball valves!
