Tropic Marin, has always been one of my favorite salt mixes and their latest synthetic sea salt, Bio Actif has peaked my interest. I have only seen reports on this new product from German aquarists, but I would imagine that with time it will make it’s way to the States. Maybe I am just partial to the Trimma Goby image, but I hope we get this on our side of the pond to compare against other salts.
More on Bio Actif Salt:
- Combines the protective and growth promoting action of natural bioactive marine substances
- Pharmaceutical pure salts
- Provides a sound biological balance which stabilizes water quality and supports the intake of nutrients by invertebrates
- 70 trace elements and mineral nutrients held together by bioactive substances in their dissolved state as organic complexes
- Free of nitrates, phosphates and other unnatural enrichment additives
As to what the above pseudoscience jargon actually means, I cannot tell you. My guess would be it is a twist on their popular salt mix including some elements of their new supplements such as Pro Coral Reef Snow and Reef Actif.
