glassbox lift off

Here’s an image of just the stand, the tank is currently on top and filling up with water. It looks better than we imagined.

Here’s one more shot head on.  We currently have it lit by one blue spot, and the way the beveled starphire refracts the light is gorgeous. I’ll try later to capture it with our camera.

Here’s a shot of the oak frame.

Check out these glitter lines. The white bottom really reflects the light. We’re excited to see the long term effect on the base of our SPS.

Did you have this stand custom made locally?

    Hey Graf-X,

It is a white laminate (I am unsure of the brand/type) and it was custom made by a local builder. It took 9 weeks, as the laminate had to be redone due to chipping….but we are very happy with the final product.

very nice. is the back left unfinished or do one of the panels/sides come off (for sump access)… great build!

Thanks. It is finished, but open for sump access. The sump will be tucked underneath to the right side, with storage space on the left and an external skimmer free standing on the floor.
