Aqua design amano is at the forefront of modern aquariums. There are many companies that are trying to break into this area, but no one has touched the simplicity and “wabi” nature of ADA. They offer a flawless complete line for FW tanks and are becoming more SW friendly with time, or so it seems.
I am bringing them up because of their beauty and the recent increase in online discussions reagarding hanging lights and smaller rimless aquariums. Currently the only other pre-made arm bracket I am aware of is made by zero-edge aquariums… but here is another option. The angled arm is less intrusive and much more appealing. At $180 it’s not cheap, but looking good never is.
I also came across this beautiful curved rimless tank. It would work great tucked away in a modern office or kitchen. If someone tries it, please let us know!
Last but not least ADA has recently started making lower profile aquarium. Although they were intended for wabi-kusa or terrariums, we love shallow reefs and believe they would work beautifully. Perhaps a wabi-kusa inspired mangrove lagoon?
Shown here is the 60-F. With a glass thickness or 4mm and 24 x 12 x 7in, this has serious potential to be a beautiful nano reef.
