		<description>There seems a lot of exaggeration out there about our use of borate in buffers. We actually only add borate to one buffering product, Marine Buffer, which many people have used for decades without issue whatsoever. In any case, none of our other buffers use borate as part of their formulation including all of the aqua vitro range.</description>

I thought their comments about most buffering products are unbalanced and have a pKa of 8.0, and as a result a reef tank will tend to run at 8.0, but theirs is pKa of 8.6 so it&#039;ll be easy to maintain a pH of 8.6.
