The extravagant Atlantis, The Palm Hotel is the latest attraction to hit Dubai. Officially opened on the 24th, it is already drawing attention and understandably so. Imagine your hotel room having a large viewing window into an aquarium that rivals the Georgia Aquarium! Before booking a trip, a point worth mentioning is rooms start at $450 a night. I’ll stick with my usual Four Seasons Presidential Suite instead… AOL Australia has posted an extensive slide show of the resort. Worth noting is Dale Chihuly was commissioned for one extravagant fountain (See Photo 12 of the slide show).

Meanwhile, an aquarium at a mall in Dubai is having issues with their sharks… The 2.6 Million gallon aquarium features the largest viewing pane and “school of sharks”. Unfortunately, Tiger Sharks have killed 40+ smaller reef sharks. It is set to open to the public October 30th. More info here.

Fellow Blogger Danilo Ronchi has posted  graphs relating to the new Elos elite, showing the spectral plots and PAR numbers. Dani has also been busy updating his blog with beautiful photographs from his recent trip to the Red Sea. This post has some terrific shots.
