We stopped by our LFS here in the city (Oldtown Aquarium) and found two specimens we couldn’t leave without purchasing. Here are our new Chelmon rostratus and Periclimenes brevicarpalis. The coloration on the Copperband is very vivid and the width of the actual bands is just right. As soon as we saw it we knew there was a good chance he was ours. After watching him eat frozen brine, it sealed the deal. At 3.25in he has plenty of time to grow and mature. The Shrimp is quite large at just under 2in. With this size and the great coloration it leads me to believe it is a male. I’ve honestly never seen so much blue on a P. brevicarpalis. Both have made great additions and are adapting well to their new home. Update: Here’s a new photo from today. He has been taking full advantage of the open space and is constantly cruising around the rock work.

The butterfly is gorgeous, Old Town has some great specimens.
I’ve never seen Periclimenes there, but not surprising they would have them. great find!
Very nice addition!!!
Good luck with him!
Felix-
Thanks guys. He really is a great specimen. So far he’s nibbled on some mysis, but has taken a preference to our feather dusters
Nice setup!?! Where did you get those MH spotlights?
Great fish, I’m staring at one right now … only not in my tank.
It’s the March fish in Tropical Fish Hobbyist Magazine’s calendar hanging above my desk. I guess I’ll have to live vicariously through you guys …
