Martin Lackin’s reef was recently picked as UltimateReef’s Tank of the Month (TOTM) and rightfully so. It’s a beautiful mature aquarium filled with large corals and some unique fish.
His most unusual specimen is what looks to be an aberrant Scopas Tang (Zebrasoma scopas) or even a Scopas x Yellow hybrid. Since owning this fish Martin has seen some unusual color changes in the variant. The smaller image in the lower corner is how the fish originally looked two years ago.
When most think of aberrant tangs and the UK, David Saxby’s reef comes to mind. Turns out Martin and David are good friends. The influences are quite noticeable.
In addition to this unique fish, Martin houses a pair of Joculators, a pair of Borbs, a Meleagris Boxfish, and a Green Filefish. This is truly a Mixed Reef. You can find all the details on this 300g reef display at Ultimate Reef’s TOTM write up.
