Current has finally created true individual reflectors for one of their T5 units. No more bent metal, but a true SLR reflector. They look okay and should help the output of the 2 bulb Nova Extreme fixtures that they will reside in.
Grim Reaper, a popular “T5 Guru” on RC, found the Extreme units with a large contoured reflector put out near equal par to the popular Tek T5 unit, largely in part to the active cooling. Now with true individual reflectors, we’re curious what the numbers will be.

Some of you may or may not remember, but we previously ran the a 4x24w Nova T5 unit with good results. They are inexpensive and at the time was one of the more attractive units available. With true individual reflectors the new 2x24w Nova Extreme unit may come pretty close to our previous 4x24w unit that utilized a large single reflector.
Here’s an image of our nano that used this light. Since then all livestock has been transfered to the glassbox.
