We came across these nifty little skimmers in some InterZoo photos. Love the simple design and best of all small foot print. Thanks again to Sebastien for the photos.
Take a look at the smallest models “diffuser”. It looks to be a simple intake screen, we had never considered this… it may be something worthwhile to try on internal pump skimmers such as the Deltec MCE 600 to reduce turbulence. And here they are in “action”, plugged and recirculating for show. The sloped neck looks very gentle.
This French company has been around for sometime, but as usual we don’t get any of their products in the States. Check out these pumps… they look awfully similar to the Tunze Master Electronic Pumps.

One of Aquavie’s unique products is their Sulphur Denitrator-Calcium Reactor combo. In fact, they have a patent on it.
It’s logical and makes sense. The low PH water from the Sulphur Denitrator feeding into the Calcium Reactor… but we’re not sure what type of cal/alk levels to expect from just the sulphur alone. A cool gadget nonetheless. For more info head over to Aquavie.fr
