we have been debating back and forth on how to supplement cal/alk on the new reef system. should we go with the balling method or a calcium reactor? we’ve finally decided to go with a calcium reactor and it looks like the H&S 150CR-F2000 will be our purchase. it is self feeding, reverse flow, co2 recirculating, and has a small footprint…we have not been able to find many reviews on H&S reactors, but with their name on it at the very least we’ll know it’ll be well made.

H&S 150CR-F2000

i have some time off for the holidays and have been thinking about building our sump. tomorrow i’ll be calling a few local glass shops and see what types of pricing and cuts i’ll be able to get.

The new site is definitely looking better. Keep us posted on your glass bids! If you do decided to proceed with this undertaking … SHOOT PHOTOS! :-D We’d love to see your project progress.

will do… got some pricing, but didnt get a chance to start the sump project while on “break”. the tank should be arriving this week and we still dont have a stand so that’s the number one priority now

i’ve been talking with some cabinet/stand builders but the holiday’s have slowed things down a bit.

and yes, we will not be using the old site anymore…it will come down shortly.
